The technique

Large tool catalogs burn tokens when every schema is always loaded. Deferred load via keyword search keeps the needed tool available while cutting prompt size. A bad query negative control confirms the search can miss when it should.

How it was tested

Offline structural sim (no live model): 8-tool catalog. Naive load-all used 1530 mock tokens; tool-search top path used 220 (−85.6%) with needed tool still available; bad query correctly left needed tool unavailable.
